Innovation is the engine driving most companies around the world. Offering ever more novel solutions and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction are the main reasons behind it. Yet companies often run into difficulties when it comes to innovating, knowing which path to choose or which resources to use.
Technology consultancy services were born to save time and money in the innovation process: services that put years of experience and lessons learned at a company's disposal so a project can be tackled in a profitable and highly efficient way.
What technology consultancy services are
Technology consultancy is a service that helps companies launch products and services in a straightforward way and with a higher chance of success. A new product isn't always met with a warm welcome when it reaches the market; to get good results, it's essential to take a series of preliminary steps that protect the return on the time and money invested. A technology consultancy helps shed light on a project idea and gets involved in processes like analysis, validation, data gathering and proposing ideas.
How a technology consultancy works
The tasks this service includes are mainly market research, getting close to the market to investigate what it's asking for and which consumer needs aren't being met; the feasibility analysis, weighing up whether the idea is likely to be well received or needs changes, before making the investment; and guidance on execution, giving the company the steps to follow so it doesn't stray from its goals.
And if we add engineering work to the mix, what does the workflow look like?
At Neurafy we're engineers too, and we have the capacity to get any kind of project up and running, so on top of the consultancy we also handle the execution. The workflow expands to cover more stages, in an end to end way of working.
Analysis and preliminary studies. This first phase, tied to the consultancy, sets out to gather data: what needs and problems exist among our consumers, which ones we can solve and how, what benefits the product would bring and whether other similar solutions already exist on the market. The most important thing is to have the right information so the project starts off on the right foot.
Development. If the project is feasible, the next step is development. For this, two things are essential: an action plan, the roadmap that defines every step and the resources needed, and collaborative work, with communication and coordination between the consultancy and the company, which provides the data only it can supply.
Design. This is one of the most important stages. The product has to be easy to use, comfortable and, through its features, deliver on the goals it was created for.
Testing and launch. To make sure the product works correctly, a testing stage is needed in which it's tried out not only by the people who built it, but by people outside the project and even potential ideal customers. That makes it far easier to spot areas for improvement and bugs to fix.
The workflow of a technology consultancy that's also an engineering firm is far broader, offering a more complete answer to a company's needs. We have R&D and innovation labs so you can bring high technology into your business simply and profitably, whether to turn your physical products into digital ones or to add connectivity or artificial intelligence to the ones you already have.
